Advent Calendar Blog Hop!!!

Aloha Everyone,
Yes it's here the Advent Calendar Blog Hop! Are you ready for all the great Christmas inspiration! I can't wait to see everyone's awesome creations. I want to thank Ruthie from September Ninth for having me, and letting me join in on the fun.
I do have BLOG CANDY at the end!!!
Now on to the fun!
Here is my Advent Calendar. I used felt for the back and made cake boxes to hold my advent sayings. I then used velcro to attach it to the felt. I had so much fun making this.

*This is a close up of the jump rings and the glass beads

*This is my list of things to put inside my boxes.
I got this list from Jessica Sprague (she is awesome).

* This is the cake box inked and the velcro attached on the back
*I was going to cut out snowflakes and glitter them, but found these red ones at Walmart instead!

*Material List
1-Felt 21" x 27"
white cardstock
red ribbon
red ink
jump rings
glass beads
velcro rough side only
glue dots
# set of stamps
silver metallic Sakura pen
Walmart glitter snowflakes

*Recipe for the Boxes & Tags
Cricut Cartridge Tags Boxes & More
*Boxes pg. 126
Cut the following cakes boxes as size follows
1- 3 3/4 "
2- 4"
4- 5"
5- 6"
6-7"
7-8"
for a total of 25 cake boxes

*Tags pg.91
Cut the following tags as size follows
1- 1 1/2"
3- 1 3/4"
4- 2"
5- 2 1/4"
6- 2 1/2"
7- 2 3/4"
for a total of 25 tags.

So here is how I put mine together.
1. cut the cake boxes
2.ink the cake boxes
3.put the velcro on the back on the boxes
4. cut the tags
5.stamp the tag #'s
6.ink the edges of the tags
7.doodle with the silver pen
8. make the ribbons bows
9.attach bows with 2 jump rings,
add some glass beads for some bling
10. attach jump rings to the inside middle knot of the bow
11.attach bow with tag to the cake box with glue dots
12.cut the felt sheet
13. place boxes with velcro backing to felt
14. Decorate as you wish

Before I Forget BLOG CANDY!!!!
I am giving away this beautiful handmade scarf with this beautiful handmade felt dahlia flower. It is very soft and I think it would make a great winter addition for yourself or as a gift.
If you would like to win here are the rules:
1. Please become a follower if you are not one.
2. Please leave me some love (a comment) and a way to get a hold of you.
Easy enough:)
I will draw the winner Monday Midnight Hawaii Time, and post on Tuesday's post.

Thanks for visiting and have fun with the rest of the hop!!!

Crop Chocolate

TWO Day Crop!!!
All day crops. I LOVE them! Go create! Enter the online crop! The best part? You don’t have to do anything or go anywhere!! When you have the chance, you sit down, log in, and enter a challenge or two. It’s completely free and you can win prizes!!

My favorite scrap deal website is hosting a TWO DAY crop this coming weekend, Nov. 6 and 7. 48 hours of challenges, games, prizes, and chat! Come join the fun!!!

www.cropchocolate.com

All you need to participate in the Online Crop and to be eligible for the prizes is to have an active CC account with a valid e-mail address. It will be part shopping, part crafting, part challenges, and completely fun! Come play to win some prizes, complete some projects (layouts, cards, altered items--you know finally use up some of you stash), and have some fun! There will also be some fun mini-games and activities going on under the Sweet Talk section of the website throughout the weekend, so make sure to stop by Sweet Talk and check them out too.

Can't make it for the whole weekend? No worries! The main challenges will be posted beginning on Saturday November 6th at 11:00 AM (CST) on the main page and it will alternate a challenge, then a SWEET deal, then another challenge, etc. If you miss a challenge on the main page they are always accessible under the "past deals" section of the website. The deadline for the submission of projects to be considered for prizes for the challenges is MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8th, 2010 11:59 PM MST unless an earlier deadline is stated. That is approximately 24 hours after the crop ends. The challenges will be posted between 11:00 AM and 11:00 PM (cst) on Saturday Nov 6th and 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM (cst) on Sunday Nov 7th.

Hope to see you there!!

I got my Cricut Back!!!

I finally got my Cricut back. It took almost one month to get it back.
I am O.K. with that because the lovely people over at Provo Craft sent me a Pink Expression for a replacement.
Woo Hoo!!! Yah, Yah !!!! Can you hear me screaming now.
I love it and love Provo Craft!!!
O.K. so I did get my new expression a week or so ago, and have not had any time to play with it :(.
Life has been busy.
I am kind of addicted to checking out everyone blogs (since I didn't have my cricut) and wasting time away and not crafting myself.
I will start posting projects soon.

Sympathy Card

Aloha Everyone,
This is a Sympathy Card that I made for my Hula Teacher's Mother-In-Law that just passed. She was a lovely lady and will be missed dearly.
