Happy Father's Day to All!!!!!

Thursday Throw back Challenge

Emma from My Creative Time is having her Thursday Throw back Challenge. For this challenge we need to use Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge, and it must be a 3-D or altered item.
I had a little trobule with the 3-D or altered item. I really wanted to make something really different, but could not get past Tags, Bags, Boxes, and more cartridge. Anyway, it is nothing really different, but at least I tried.
I decided to make a gift box to go along with my Father's Day gift for my husband.
I made different size children to represent my own children. It was kind of difficult because it was soooo small.

Peachy Keen Challenge 30

Summer Theme Layout for Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 30

Peachy Keen Challenge 30

Aloha, Here is my Peachy Keen 12 x 12 layout for their challenge. I really love their stamps. The Peachy Keen challenge is a summer theme. I don't have any sets of Peachy Keen Stamps so I had to draw my faces by hand. I really had fun with this layout. The picture is of my daughters and their cousin. A fun day at the beach.
The die cuts are from
-A Child's Year ( the boy and the fish) cut at 6"
-Life's A Beach ( the Palm trees and the coconuts) cut at 5.25". 4.70" & 3.50"
- Gypsy Wanderings ( the water), cut at 12" across
-Doodlecharms ( the sun), cut at 3.5"
- Wild Card (the frame) cut at 5.50
I hand cut the Hawaiian fish hook and added yarn for some texture.
I used Pebbles Chalk to add some color to the boy and the sun's cheeks.

This is the cover that I kept clear, so I can see how much tape I have left. Did you see the cute butterfly that is on the bottom corner.

Tutorial on ATG Gun

Aloha Everyone, Since posting the pictures of my ATG I will explain how I blinged it out.
What you will need.
-Krylon Fusion spray paint for plastic, - Acrylic Clear Coat, and painting tape
Because the Krylon only has a few choices in colors, that I didn't want. I had to use a primer then my color of choice.
*1st I taped everything that I didn't want painted
make sure you tape the trigger, the metal part that rolls the tape, and the inside black part that holds the tape.
I unscrewed the inside black pieces to paint under it.
I also taped the cover that opens because I wanted to leave it clear.
*2nd paint with color of choice . I used the Krylon Fusion for plastic in Satin River for my primer ( you don't need to do this if you picked out a color that you like in the Krylon Fusion for plastic, it doesn't need a primer).
My color of choice is Krylon Outdoor Spaces Satin Finish in Watermelon.
Tip: I hung my ATG so it was easier to paint and dry.
*3rd I blinged it up by putting rub-ons. I used fancy pants brand.
*4th I then sprayed the entire Gun inside and out and top cover with the Krylon Acrylic Crystal Clear in Gloss.
Then let dry and enjoy your new Kreation.
I love my ATG Gun and can't imagine not having it.
My 3 girls use it all the time. I am always asking for it back.

My Entry for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge

Aloha Everyone,
Here is my entry. We were supposed to used Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge (which I don't have) or use the color theme.
The color theme was red, brown, & blue.
I used Gypsy Wanderings for the butterfly and the butterfly lace paper. The sentiments is from My Pink Stamper's Family & Friends, that I cut on the Forever Young Cartridge for the tag. I then glittered everything, giving it a softer look.

Tip

Do you get frustrated when you are paper crafting and when you clean up, there is so much little pieces of paper it is hard to pick up. I have a great way to pick up all those little pieces of paper. Go get a sticky lint remover, in the laundry section. It works great. Keep using it until it is no longer sticky then, peel a new clean sheet on. Works like a charm.

Card for My Husband

My husband is an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoors person. So I decided to make a Father's Day Card for him that reflects him. Here in Hawaii many families live off the land, it is their way of life. Many hunters go Pig hunting the traditional Hawaiian way with dogs, and a knife. That is how he hunts too. Yes there is his gun in the card, they do take one along, because these pigs can get pretty nasty. Hope you enjoy it.
